In 1999, early 60’s Alpha Nu Deltas created the Hattie Hilliard Endowment Fund (HHEF) to aid preferably undergraduate Alpha Nu Deltas on the University of Illinois’ Urbana-Champaign campus.

By agreement between the University and the 60’s Deltas who created the Fund, the Office of Student Affairs annually awards a scholarship based on academic achievement, financial need, and community service.  The University's Foundation invests the pooled monies of the HHEF and other “small” endowments.  The Foundation Board determines the amount of money available for an annual HHEF scholarship based on pool earnings and the HHEF’s share of the pool (the more money in the HHEF, the larger its share of pooled earnings, the larger the scholarship, the more scholarships).  Making the Fund self-sustaining is your chance to assist current and future Alpha Nu Deltas.

You can contribute by: (1) designating tax exempt contributions to the Hattie Hilliard Endowment Fund, University of Illinois Foundation; (2) sending the attached brochure  to other Alpha Nu Deltas, potential donors, and eligible scholarship applicants; (3) asking your employer to double your gift with matching funds; and (4) leaving a portion of your estate to HHEF.
